Privacy Policy:
Exploring Nature Educational Resource (www.exploringnature.org) is an educational resource and will protect user privacy.

COLLECTING AND TRACKING INFORMATION
We collect educator names, school addresses, email, IP addresses so that we can provide information that suits the educational needs of our user demographic. For example, if a number of schools from New Zealand register to use the site, we research and develop a section on New Zealand animals to serve their students. This enables us to know who is using the site and how to serve their educational needs most effectively. We never ever, EVER sell this data.

WHAT WE DO WITH COLLECTED INFORMATION
• We send monthly emails to let educators know what new information or activities have been posted that relates to their geographic area or that they requested or that meets curriculum guidelines.
• We send a reminder when subscriptions are about to expire.
• We may, when recruiting a sponsor, produce a report on the demographics of our users. This greatly improves our chances of obtaining and maintaining funding for the site.
• We reserve the right to use or disclose any information without notice or consent as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request; to conduct investigations of consumer complaints or possible breaches of law; to protect the integrity of our site and our property; to protect the safety of our visitors or others; to fulfill your requests; or to cooperate in any legal investigation.

CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
A user may, at any time, change, correct, modify or delete any personal information they may have provided to exploringnature.org by reregistering or letting us know at sheri@exploringnature.org.

SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Exploringnature.org is a small group of science educators, biomedical illustrator, zoo vet and webmasters. No one here will misuse your information!

PHOTOS OF CHILDREN
All photos of children 13 or under from school groups came through school releases (and most are many years old at this point). Any new photos we might use, due to COPPA laws, will have signed releases or only have kids over 13 years old and have no identifying materials associated with them.

MATERIALS ON THE SITE
Our science materials are factual in nature. Please tour the site if your children will be using it to make sure you are comfortable with the materials - especially the reproductive system in the anatomy section, which does have illustrated reproductive parts. Again, all our content is factual in nature.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Much of exploringnature.org will be used by children. Nothing on this site will serve any other purpose than science education.
If you have any questions regarding the privacy and safety of children on our site, please email us at sheri@exploringnature.org.
