They are found in the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia.

They are about 8 inches long with large flaps of skin between their front and back legs on their sides. Usually they hold the flaps folded at their sides, but they can hold them out using special, movable ribs to carry the lizard on a glide through the trees.
