Kids naturally enjoy sorting like objects. Use this simple card sorting activity to start your students thinking about different animal groups (classes). This is an ideal activity to integrate into activity stations.
This activity is a good way to access knowledge about animal classification before and/or after that lesson. Talk to students about some of the unique traits of each of the five classes of animals on which this activity focuses.
